Carrying on the craftsmanship of Britain's Wills & Bates, established in 1912, each lantern is carefully handmade one at a time.
Runs on kerosene, a fuel that is both safe and economical. Preheating uses alcohol but is simple — about 30 to 40 pumps are enough for plenty of light. The frame and hood are made of brass that resists rust and keeps its shine, while the brass tank is finished in a matte army green coating. The matching light shade is available in both brass and army green to suit the tank.
Burns for approximately 10 hours, so you won't need to carry extra fuel even for a two-night camping trip. Parts wear evenly and the lantern disassembles easily. Note: the included instruction manual is in Japanese.

Always keep the lantern burning at full brightness. Do not continue operating it in a dim state, such as by lowering the pressure.
The total pump count is usually no more than about 40 strokes (when full). Over-pumping shortens the life of the vaporizer, so please be careful.
If storing the lantern with fuel still inside, loosen the pressure regulator knob.
Note: The cut edge of the glass chimney is smoothed by hand, so some pieces may have slightly uneven, wavy spots.
