Carrying on the craftsmanship of Britain's Wills & Bates, established in 1912, each lantern is carefully handmade one at a time.
Runs on kerosene, a fuel that is both safe and economical. Preheating uses alcohol but is simple — about 30 to 40 pumps are enough for plenty of light. The frame and tank are made of stainless steel that resists rust and keeps its shine, and a matching stainless steel light shade is available.
Burns for approximately 10 hours, so you won't need to carry extra fuel even for a two-night camping trip. Parts wear evenly and the lantern disassembles easily. Note: the included instruction manual is in Japanese.

Always keep the lantern burning at full brightness. Do not continue operating it in a dim state, such as by lowering the pressure.
The total pump count is usually no more than about 40 strokes (when full). Over-pumping shortens the life of the vaporizer, so please be careful.
If storing the lantern with fuel still inside, loosen the pressure regulator knob.
Note: The cut edge of the glass chimney is smoothed by hand, so some pieces may have slightly uneven, wavy spots.
